Spoilers / Goofs:

  • These aliens can turn invisable, make crop circles without anyone noticing, Can clean out planets and travel millions of miles but, THEY CANNOT OPEN A DOOR.
  •  If I was Mel Gibson, I wouldn't care what my god damn kids would like to stay, I'd grab the little bastards and RUN LIKE HELL.
  • To the aliens, water is like sulpuric acid to them. So why the hell do they come invade a planet that is 75% water or more? What if it rained?
  • Plank performances from everyone. No emotion, blank expressions all the way through. You call that acting?! Anybody can put a face on like their dog just died. Its easy.
  • The Alien design - its just so god damn cliché!! Green. Of all colours of the rainbow. GREEN. Argh. And the design, and the heads! Those big eyes, vertially no teeth! Sure, they have claws, but so do cats. What the hell were they thinking?
  • If there was an alien like that was in my house, I'd go for it. No teeth and no backup, what is there to loose?
  • If that god damn warped director puts himself in another one of his plank movies I will tear my hair out, grab a bat and head to hollywood.

My vote: 2 out of 10

Well, this movie is just really really boring and I strongly strongly disagree that it should be classed as horror. It is a waste of whatever spare time you have and should be avoided..

It is about a former precher or vicar who lost his wife in a road accident some sixs months ago or so, and abandoned his faith. He lives on a farm or something with his two kids (his daughter, Bo, has this this with drinking water and leaves glasses all over the house) and his brother. One day they wake up to find a crop circle in their yard and alot of weird ass stuff starts happening. Including this preachers confusing fear theory.

It happens all over the world in the next few days, mostly in the 3rd world countries where there is less water. Gibsons son finds a book about aliens, with surprise surprise, is very acurate. The aliens start getting careless, and are captured in movies, and seen running around the farm. A bird flies around in the sky, hits off something invisable, dies and is found with its neck bent off or something like it hit a brick wall. Wow, isn't that suspitious?!

So, its too late for them to piss off from their farm and they're stuffed or so we think. Gibsons kiddies and his brother don't want to leave anyway, the fools. So they lock themselves in the basement after they board up the windows and doors after hearing creeping about on the roof and banging here and there. Theres some mumbling about in the dark with torches, and one of his kids with asthma is grabbed by the coal shoot with a rather plastic looking claw, but is let go.

They survive a brawl with an alien and find out that water is how to kill them, and in the end everything is normal and Mel Gibson goes back to being a precher, and regains his faith.

M Night ShyaMalalalaans characters are never known to have their own quirks that are in tune to the storyline. They are very wooden.

There is only one thing I like about this movie, which is how they tell the story of his wifes death while keeping interest ;

Every time the-
Every time the movie-
Every time the movie reveals-
Every time the movie reaveals a little-
